HP 5258 OfficeJet Printer Issue
I have an HP OfficeJet 5258 printer.
I've never had an issue with it until today.
Both color and black cartridges are new and 100% full of ink.
But specifically the black cartridge is causing an error to pop up continuously.
"Cartridge is not communicating with the printer."
There are three little black dots over the error message.
I follow all the suggested online tips and none of the tips will fix it.
I have wiped the cartridges down; restarted the printer; unplugged for a while; restarted the printer; etc.
I was able to print an alignment page one time, that looked correct (both black and color),
but when I attempted to do the alignment, the "Cartridge is not communicating with the printer”message reappeared.
I have used both a new and an old black HP XL63 cartridge, same result, same error message.
The virtual assistant is not helpful at all.
Can you connect me to someone who knows how to fix this printer problem?
Or can you tell me where the printer needs to be taken to have it fixed?

I have the same issue on my OfficeJet 5258 but with the color cartridge. I haven't gotten it to work since installing a new cartridge. Error message is "Indicated cartridge is not communicating correctly with printer." If I remove the color cartridge, I can print with Black only. Otherwise it won't print due to this error message. Tried all the recommended troubleshooting steps - restarting, cleaning, reinstalling the cartridges, etc.
