Hello,
I bought a HP 6978 printer which came with 902 and 906 cartridges and then moved to a country that only sold 903 and 907 cartridges. I would like to change the region of the printer. I have seen online that there is an option to enter a unique code with the assistance of a HP technician. I can see in the "HP Smart app" that the old 902/906 ink says they are Cartridge Zone 2 but my new ones are Cartridge Zone 4. So i need to change to ZONE 4 please! HELP.

ADDED: I have already been on the phone with Technical support and they said they cannot perform resets. Then I found another forum post that mentions that not all support staff know about "Regionalization Reset". I was on the phone for 1hr+ and got nowhere.
@Kumar0307 i think you know how?

@benRoberts696, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
Yes, as you have moved to a different country, we need to perform a region reset.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Have a great day!
