HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Envy 6055 printer. No cyan color. New cartridge installed. Alignment sheet printer out in black ink only. Did a Print Quality Diagnostic and the printout said ink levels are okay, but the cyan was not shown on the display area. Did a Clean Cartridge twice but that didn't help. ???

Hi @shark111

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Envy 6055 printer is not printing cyan despite having a new cartridge installed and running cleaning cycles. This could be caused by several things, such as an issue with the cartridge, the printhead, or the printer settings. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Step 1: Check the Cyan Cartridge Installation

Even though the cartridge is new, it's worth double-checking to ensure it's installed correctly:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
  3. Remove the cyan ink cartridge and inspect it:
    • Make sure the protective tape (which covers the ink nozzles) has been completely removed from the new cartridge.
    • Reinsert the cartridge firmly into the appropriate slot and ensure it clicks into place.
  4. Close the cartridge access door and plug the printer back in.

Step 2: Perform a Cartridge Clean and Test Print

You’ve already done a clean cartridge cycle, but it might help to run a deeper cleaning. Here's how you can try again and do a test print:

Go to Printer Settings:

  • Open HP Smart or go to the Printer Settings (on your PC, it can be found under Devices and Printers).

Run the Clean Printhead Option Again:

  • Run the clean printhead option again from the printer’s control panel or via HP Smart.
  • If your printer has an option for deep cleaning, use that to try and unclog any potential blockages in the printhead.

Print a Test Page:

  • After cleaning, print a Test Page or a Print Quality Diagnostic from the Printer Settings or the printer’s control panel. Check again if the cyan is printing properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
