>One must have the HP Full Software PKG installed, to use it's remote-from-PC "cleaning" functions, et al. IF you never did download and install the "HP" software, your Windows OS is likely using Microsoft's "WSD" to provide you with only the Basics of printing functions for your Printer. By-default, "let Windows manage my printer" is Enabled, in Settings.

>Sadly, HP has stopped providing standalone Software for many printers, and tells us to use their "Smart app". Terrible stuff that runs in the 'Cloud', and requires near-constant www-Connectivity.

>Some printers have buttons and touchscreens on their front, to access Setup, and Cleaning, etc etc. Cheaper ones do not.

>The HP Guide for your printer model has a section about 'cleaning' the Cartridge "contacts", ONLY (not! the printhead)... and says the Cartridge can be out of the printer for a MAXimum of 30 minutes (warns ink will dry hard and that cartridge is toast!).

>Most printers go into power-save/sleep automatically, and 'wake up' on a schedule to automatically run a short 'cleaning' of the printheads (using up your Ink!)... which 'should' keep them from clogging/drying. I.e. - one should never turn Off a Printer; let it do it's thing. Especially if you print pages less-than-daily.
