I am a freelance designer. I design professionally and bought this machine for in-house proofing. The colors will not print correctly. Pink prints red and turquoise or a lighter blue print rich blue. Cleaning the print cartridge shows that none of the heads are plugged as the full spectrum fits correctly.
I know my monitor colors are correct as they match the end product for commercial print jobs and my monitor is calibrated. How do I color calibrate this printer so that it prints correctly? Can I fix this in the settings somewhere?

You have an Officejet printer for office printing, you will hardly get professional results on that printer model.
If you want colours on your screen to match colours on the paper you will need a way better printer than OJ7740
