HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Color LaserJet CP 1518ni will not print in color when instruction is sent by my computer(s).  It will print a full color test page, but only when the command is generated at the printer control panel itself, and not from the Manage Device menu on my laptops, or from any other source on the computer(s).

On you computer:

Go to control panel>devices and printers and right click on the icon for your printer and select printer properties from the drop down menu.

Click on the advanced tab and check what driver is being used. if the driver show is Microsoft IPP or Class driver, delete the printer and reinstall.

If the driver appears to be an HP driver, click on the device settings tab, scroll down until you see "device type" and change it to color from either auto or monochrome.

Thanks Repairatrooper!

I've been at wits end, but I carefully followed your instructions and found multiple incorrect settings.  After I corrected them, I printed a test page in color from the Printers and Scanners Page of the Control Panel.  I then went on to print 5 or 6 other pages of miscellaneous websites - in glorious color!  Just like I used to take for granted.

This is a back-up printer, but my wife needs to have a color laser printer for one specific application.  I was afraid we'd have to buy a new one, but this process of yours was successful, and my faith is restored!

Thank you again!
