Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI,

I have an HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFPfdn.  Recently, it has developed a print quality issue that results in "blotches" appearing at repeating locations on the printed page.  I have attached scans below of both sides of a page from a two-sided printout.  If anyone here can tell me how I can address this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Measure the distance between 2 repeating blotches and if the distance is 57mm then you have a defective fuser.

HI Valsimot,

The repeating blotches are in fact 57 mm apart.  If this means my fuser is defective, is this something I can attempt to correct or replace myself?

Thanks and best regards,
Paul

You have small damage on the fuser roller coating, the printer needs to be repaired.

There are 2 options one is to replace the damaged roller only it's a cheaper but very complicated job, and the second one is to replace the complete fuser unit, way more expensive but an easier job.

Thank you Valsimot -

Do you know how I can look up the part number of the fuser unit I would need?  I'm having a hard time finding this on the HP product support page.

Thanks again - I appreciate your help.

Best regards,
Paul
