HP Envy Photo 7855

My printer has ink in the cartridges but when I try to print a document it only prints out a blank page. I have tried removing both the color and black cartridges one at a time, and also ran all diagnostic, cleaning and alignment tools.

If your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer is producing blank pages despite having ink in the cartridges and you've already tried basic troubleshooting steps like removing and reinserting the cartridges, running diagnostics, cleaning, and alignment tools, there are several other steps you can take to resolve the issue.

 

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are properly installed. Make sure they are securely clicked into their respective slots.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Verify the ink levels through your printer's control panel or the HP Smart app (if your printer supports it). If the ink levels are low or empty, replace the cartridges.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Using genuine HP ink cartridges is recommended. Third-party or refilled cartridges may not work properly and could result in printing issues.

Clean the Printhead Manually:

  • If the printhead is clogged, you can try cleaning it manually. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this. Typically, it involves removing the cartridges and using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab with distilled water to clean the printhead.

Print a Test Page:

  • Try printing a test page to check if the printer is capable of producing any output. You can usually do this from your printer's control panel.

Check Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the print settings are configured correctly in your computer's print dialog or the printer settings menu. Make sure it's set to print in color if you are printing a color document.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes, outdated or corrupt printer drivers can cause printing issues. Check if there are any driver updates available for your printer on the HP website, and consider reinstalling the drivers.

Try Another Document:

  • Test with a different document or file to rule out issues with the document itself.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer's internal components.
