Hi, recently, my printer stopped using my color ink when I try to print something in color. There is color ink in my cartridge, over half full. I select my option to print in color and it still does black and white. Does anyone have any guidance?

I understand your HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer is only printing in black and white, even though the color cartridge is over half full. Let's try to fix this and get the printer back on working:
1. Check Print Settings
- When printing, click “Printer Properties” or “Preferences” in the print dialog.
- Make sure:
- Color is selected (not grayscale or black & white).
- Print in grayscale is unchecked.
2. Run the HP Smart App

3. Clean the Printhead
- Open the HP Smart app or printer control panel.
- Go to Printer Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead.
- Run the cleaning cycle and print a test page.
4. Check Ink Levels in HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your PC or phone.
- Confirm that the color cartridge is recognized and not flagged as empty or incompatible.
5. Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver

- Download and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers for Windows 11.
6. Try a Different App
Try printing from another app (e.g., Word, browser, or PDF viewer) to rule out app-specific issues.
