Hi @CK159, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're seeing yellow in green and purple prints on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 All-in-One Printer, even after cleaning the printheads and replacing the cartridges, try these steps:

Check Ink Levels & Cartridges

  • Make sure all ink levels are sufficient (even a low cyan/magenta can cause incorrect color mixing).
  • Use genuine HP cartridges to avoid compatibility issues.

Print a Print Quality Report

  • On the printer: Go to Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report.
  • Check for misaligned colors, streaks, or missing sections in the color blocks.

Run "Align Printhead" & Deep Cleaning

  • On the printer: Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
  • If misalignment persists, run Deep Cleaning (found under Tools in maintenance settings).

Perform a Manual Printhead Cleaning

If deep cleaning didn’t help:

  • Remove the printhead and gently wipe the nozzles with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
  • Let it dry completely before reinstalling.

Try Different Paper & Driver Settings

  • Use HP-recommended paper (glossy, matte, or plain as per your print job).
  • In Printer Properties > Color Settings, set the color profile to Best or Vivid and ensure the Grayscale option is off.
  • Update your printer drivers from HP Support.

Reset the Printer

  • Unplug the printer for 60 seconds, then restart.
  • Perform a factory reset if the issue persists (Setup > Restore Defaults).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
