I had done a successful regionalisation reset with help from HP community support. Since then I am unable to print color prints. Only black and white prints are possible. However, during test printout it prints color.

I use the printer on wireless mode. Can anyone please help?

Hi @Das2024

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Gayathri is away for now; however, I'm Hawks_Eye, and I'll be happy to help you out!

Thank you for sharing the details and for already performing a regionalisation reset successfully. I understand how frustrating it must feel to see color prints working in test pages but not in your actual documents.

Let’s carefully walk through this together.

  • A regionalisation reset does not impact the printer’s ability to print in color. Since your test print shows color, the printer hardware and cartridges are functioning correctly.

  • The issue is most likely related to print driver settings or application preferences on your Windows computer.

  • Please check the following steps:
    1. On your Windows PC, open the document you want to print.
    2. Select Print and then choose your HP Envy 4520 printer.
    3. Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
    4. Under the Color tab or Advanced settings, ensure “Print in grayscale” is not selected.
    5. Save the settings and try printing again.

  • If the issue persists, reinstalling the printer driver can refresh the settings:
    1. Remove the printer from Devices and Printers.
    2. Download and install the latest full feature software for HP Envy 4520 from HP’s support page: HP Envy 4520 Printer Drivers and Downloads.
    3. Reconnect the printer over wireless and test a color print.

  • Also, ensure the HP App is installed and updated on your Windows device. It provides a streamlined way to manage print settings and confirm color options.

By following these steps, you should be able to restore color printing for your documents. Would you like me to guide you through verifying the HP App’s print settings as the next step?
