Hi @Suey27,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy Inspire 7200e series printer not printing color correctly. Printing problems can be caused by various factors, including cartridge issues, driver problems, or even hardware malfunctions. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the color ink cartridges have sufficient ink. If any of them are low or empty, replace them with new cartridges. Sometimes, low ink levels can result in poor color printing.
  • Clean the Print Heads: Your printer might have an option in the settings menu to clean the print heads. Running a print head cleaning cycle can help remove dried ink and debris that may be obstructing the nozzles.
  • Align the Print Heads: Perform a print head alignment from your printer's settings menu. This helps ensure that the print heads are properly aligned, which can affect color accuracy.
  • Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Install them and then restart your computer.
  • Check Printer Settings: Make sure that the printer settings are configured correctly. Ensure that you haven't accidentally set the printer to grayscale or black-and-white printing only. Double-check the color settings.
  • Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Non-genuine or refilled cartridges may not work correctly with your printer and can lead to print quality issues. Always use genuine HP cartridges.
  • Test with a Different Document: Try printing a different document or image to see if the problem persists. It could be an issue with the specific file or software you were using.
  • Inspect the Cartridges and Printer Contacts: Check for any debris or dirt on the cartridge contacts or inside the printer where the cartridges are installed. Gently clean them if necessary.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in. Power it on and try printing again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
