Hi@jaycee61,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing printing issues with the HP Office Jet 6600 Printer. It looks like the cartridge could be very close to empty. Replace low, empty or faulty ink cartridges on the printer.

I have a few recommendations

  • Click the printer icon on the taskbar.

  • Right-click Properties .

  • Click Toolbox in the Properties dialog box.

  • Select Open hp photosmart series Toolbox .

  • Click the Estimated Ink Level tab.

  • Check the ink level indicators in the graphic.

Print a test page on the printer and check if all the colors are printing correctly.

Clean the printhead

The printhead could be clogged, and you might need to clean the printhead several times to restore print quality. Use an automated tool from the printer control panel to clean the printhead.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have tried all your suggestions, my inks weren't empty but I still replaced them with new HP inks.  The colour gold I tried to print was still green.  My daughter has the same printer so we tried printing gold on hers and it worked fine until her inks were empty.  We replaced them and the gold became grainy and eventually also printed green.

Hi@jaycee61,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Align the printer: Aligning the ink cartridges correctly aligns the printhead with the printer. Align the printer from the printer control panel, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

    The Setup menu displays.

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Align Printer.

    An alignment page prints.

  4. Wait for the alignment page to finish printing.

Update the full feature printer software.

Have a great day!
