We got this printer 2/18/2023  The warranty expired on on 2/18/2025.

I should have contacted someone sooner, but it was a piece of junk from the start.  It always needed ink and I really think it was a scam to sell the subscription for ink.  It went through countless cycles that delayed printing at the most inopportune times.  It finally quite printing black right after we installed a new large black cartridge…. An HP cartridge, not an off brand.  Nothing we could do could fix it and we were told by an HPO Bot that the print head was shot.  And repair was not an option at this point and really never is on these units.

Of course I was trying to print income tax documents.  I researched several sites including Consumer Reports and HP does not score well.

We had to have a printer immediately and went with a different brand.

I do not know how many HP printers we have owned over the years at home and in my practice, but it is probably 20+.  Years ago, we had a B&W laser that lasted as our primary printer in our office for 17 years.  When it died the service guy said he had never seen a printer last that long and print the volume that it did.

This printer replace a great HP that lasted 6+ years.

I am typing this on an HP laptop.  This is the second HP I have had and so far so good, but this printer and trying to get a way to email HP directly about it is not what built HP into the company is is….or was.  Customer support is horrible.

I don’t know if anyone from HP will read this or cares, but I felt like you needed to know what inferior products lead to lost customers.  If they do my best contact is Please Do not include the serial number or any sensitive information

I will always wonder if this would have turned out differently if we had done the ink subscription.
