Officejet 8020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have purchased three new cyan ink cartridges and none of them are working. In addition, I have cleaned my printer heads and tried to align but I get an error message stating that the alignment page could not scan. This is a fairly new printer as it was purchased in 2020 and I didn't start having problems until I canceled my subscription to the Instant Ink service. Can anyone offer any ideas on how to print without buying a new printer? Also, I read through this board that there was a recall of something, If that's the case, then why didn't HP inform us of such so that it could have been corrected? HP, you are slipping because I have always bought HP products and this is the first time I'm having problems that can't seem to be fixed!!

@JoMo3, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the printer is not printing in Cyan. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in these documents - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues, and Ink cartridge errors

Use HP ink cartridges.

If the issue persists even after replacing the ink cartridge with a new one, please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer as I'm afraid the printer has gone bad.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

There was no recall for this model printer or ink cartridges.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
