Cyan color stopped working despite being full.  I replaced the cartrige nonetheless with same results.  I checked the ink vent to ensure no blockage.  I performed the align cartridges and the cleaning options to the third level - 3 times and still have the issue.

I tooo have this issue and have gotten no where's with HP online chat, suggestions, etc.  Last I saw was that there was an issue with the Cyan ink cartridges and to go to a page so a corrected cartridge could be sent. I hit that site and it brought me back to chat. I have wasted at least 5 hours trying to correct this!

I have the same issue with my Officejet Pro.   HP notes issues with both cyan and yellow.  Rec'd notice to download an update and buy current expire dated cartridges - new ones are in 2023  - but that has all failed.   The old cartridge was working until it ran out so what gives - anyone with a solution?

I'm having the same issue as "Cabin Mate" cyan and yellow are NOT being recognized.

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

 

Is the printer enrolled in Instant Ink or are you using regular HP ink cartridges?

 

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

Use HP ink cartridges.

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error

I have received NO error messages on my printer, nor in the diagnostics for printer issues.....When you look at the printer cartridges' profiles, my blue does NOT show up at all.  When running diagnostics, the blue doesn't show on the printouts.  I looked at your reply and tried them - they do not work.   I just bought two new packages of ink last week (as I live over a hour from any major shopping), none of the blue worked.  One had a China code: T6L86A 2023/03/14.  The other had a Malaysia code T6M02A 2023/01/09.  Neither work.  So far, knock on wood, the yellow works.  All cartridges were in official HP packaging and bought at reputable stores where I have always bought my ink.  My printer is a HP Officeject Pro 6978, T0F29A.

 

This is getting incredibly frustrating.  If this ink problem is so widespread, why hasn't HP sent out clear product "recall" information and very clear fix instructions?

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues, and the issue persists even after replacing the ink cartridge, I'm afraid the issue is with the printhead of the printer.

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

i had this last week with my envy 6220 , got another ink sent me another after a hour phone call and now the magenta and yellow dont work. been told i will get another not rand new printer sent me , only had 3 months ...not happy
