My printer HP Smart Tank 615 is not producing yellow and cyan color. Already removed the bubbles in the ink hose and also cleaned the cartridges. There are enough ink to all four colors. When I removed and cleaned the cartridges, the tricolor only producing magenta. I even printed a status report and under Ink Delivery System Information - 35. Only Magenta and Black are visible. I don't know what else to do.

It seems like you're encountering an issue with the yellow and cyan ink delivery in your HP Smart Tank 615 printer. Here are some steps that might help resolve this problem:

 

Check the Ink Levels: Double check to ensure that the yellow and cyan ink tanks are filled correctly and the ink levels are adequate. Ensure no ink is leaking or blocked.

Reset the Ink System: Try resetting the ink system to see if it resolves the issue. You can do this by:

  • Turning off the printer and disconnecting the power cord.
  • Waiting for about 60 seconds before reconnecting the power cord.
  • Turning the printer back on.

Clean the Printheads: Since you have already cleaned the cartridges, you may need to perform a printhead cleaning using the printer’s software. This can sometimes clear blockages or air trapped in the system that manual cleaning could not resolve.

Check for Air Blockages: Ensure there are no air blockages or leaks in the hoses connected to the ink tanks. Persistent air bubbles can prevent ink from reaching the printheads effectively.

Inspect Connections: Make sure that all connections between the ink tanks and the printheads are secured properly. Sometimes a loose connection can lead to ink delivery issues.

Run Printer Diagnostics: Use the printer’s software to run diagnostics and see if there are any error messages or codes related to the ink delivery system.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
