Hi @SumanDM,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 516 Wireless All-in-One printer is not printing cyan and yellow, but the magenta and black inks are working, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the cyan and yellow ink levels are sufficient. Sometimes the printer might not print if the ink levels are too low.

Clean Printheads:

  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
  • Navigate to the "Printer Maintenance" or "Tools" section.
  • Select "Clean Printheads" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for Clogged Nozzles:

  • Print a diagnostic page or a test page to see if the colors are printing.
  • If there are missing colors, the printheads might be clogged.

Verify Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure they are properly aligned.

Perform a Printhead Alignment:

  • This can usually be done from the printer's menu or the HP Smart app.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the alignment process.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer.
  • Update the firmware through the HP Smart app or HP's official website.

Run Printer Diagnostics:

  • Use the HP Smart app to run a printer diagnostic.
  • Follow any recommendations or troubleshooting steps provided by the diagnostic tool.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look for any error messages on the printer's display or in the HP Smart app that might indicate a problem with the ink system.

Replace Cartridges:

  • If the issue persists, try replacing the cyan and yellow cartridges with new ones to rule out the possibility of defective cartridges.

I hope this helps.
