try additional steps.

1. Check the Cartridge and Ink Levels

  • Ensure the new cyan cartridge is properly installed. Sometimes, the cartridge may not be seated correctly.
  • Double-check the ink levels in the HP Smart app or through the printer's control panel to make sure the cyan ink is not empty or dried out.

2. Run Printer Head Cleaning Again

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and perform the Deep Clean or Extended Clean if available. This can sometimes help clear stubborn clogs.

3. Check for Blockages in the Printhead

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power.
  • Remove the cyan ink cartridge and use a soft cloth dampened with warm water to gently wipe the printhead. Be careful not to damage the head.
  • Wait for it to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridge and powering on the printer.

4. Use HP's Print and Scan Doctor Again

You can download it here if needed: click here

  • HP Print and Scan Doctor

5. Check for Printer Firmware Updates

  • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.
  • You can also visit the HP website and search for your printer model to check if there’s a new firmware version available.

6. Try a Different Cyan Cartridge

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you. I did try all the steps, and still had no cyan. This was a brand-new, HP cartridge. I finally opened another new cartridge, and the cyan was fine. So apparently it was a faulty cartridge, but unfortunately, I purchased it a year ago from Staples and don't have a receipt, so I'm out the $$, but the printer at least seems fine.
