HP OfficeJet 7110 Wide Format ePrinter - H812a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all. HP7110 wide format printer.

I am having issues with the cyan colour not printing. I have replaced the ink cartridge with (showing as full) and run level 3 cleaning with no success. Having just run  the estimated ink levels report I can see no cyan bar shown, suggesting no ink is getting through. Is there an ink blockage or printhead issue somewhere?

Any and all help would be much appreciated!

Hi @OST68,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry to hear about the cyan color issue—it's frustrating when a printer doesn't perform as it should, even after replacing the cartridge. Let's try to figure out what's going on.

  • When replacing the cyan cartridge, did you ensure that any protective seals or covers were completely removed?
  • Have you noticed any error messages on the printer's display or in the printer software?
  • Have you attempted a printhead alignment or checked the printhead for clogs or damage?

Solution one: Use genuine HP cartridges

  • HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink or toner supplies. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP or refilled cartridges. If you do not use genuine HP cartridges, the steps in this document might not resolve the issue. To check the authenticity of your cartridges, go to the HP anti-counterfeit webpage (in English).
  • Purchase replacement cartridges and other supplies from the HP Store or local retailers.

Solution two: Allow automatic servicing to complete

  • Many print quality problems with black ink, such as poor black text or issues that occur with a newly installed black cartridge, clear up with the printer's automatic servicing routine. There is nothing you need to do. The print quality should start improving in a few hours.
  • If waiting for automatic servicing to complete resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If waiting for automatic servicing to complete did not resolve the issue, continue to the next solution.

Try updating the firmware. Click here

If you have already performed all these steps and still having issues, this could be either the cartridge or the printer itself is faulty

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
