Hi @yviep ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the cyan ink is not printing on your HP Smart Tank Plus 555 despite performing printhead cleanings multiple times, here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Verify that there is enough cyan ink in the tank. If the ink level is low, refill the tank with genuine HP ink.
2. Inspect the Cyan Ink Tank
- Ensure there are no air bubbles in the ink supply tube. If you see bubbles, gently tap the tank or let it sit for a while to allow the air to escape.
- Check the tank for clogs or blockages. If the ink appears to be thick or congealed, it might need attention.
3. Clean the Printhead Manually
- Open the printer to access the printhead assembly.
- Remove the printhead for the cyan ink.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the nozzles of the cyan printhead.
- Allow the printhead to dry completely before reinserting it.
4. Perform a Printhead Alignment
- After cleaning, use the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel to run a printhead alignment. This ensures the printhead is correctly aligned for optimal performance.
5. Perform a Diagnostic Print
- Print a test page to check if cyan is now visible.
- Look for any improvement in print quality or gaps in cyan areas.
6. Check for Firmware Updates Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Use the HP Smart app to check for and install any available firmware updates. Updated firmware can resolve software-related issues affecting the printhead.
7. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for 5-10 minutes.
- Plug it back in, turn it on, and test again.
8. Prime the Ink System
- If the issue persists, the ink system may need to be primed. The HP Smart app or the printer's maintenance menu should have an option for priming the ink system.

I hope this helps.
