My Cyan color is not working. I removed the cartridges and did a couple hard resets as suggested, but it's still not working. I tried making a copy of something with blue in it, and nope. I have read about replacing a printer head but wouldn't have a clue how to do that. Advice? Thanks!

Hi @sdimmich,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out to HP Support. We understand you're experiencing an issue with the cyan color not printing on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer, despite having performed cartridge reseats and hard resets. We're here to help guide you through the next steps.

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Print Quality Diagnostic Page

This can help confirm if the printhead or the ink flow is the issue:

  • On the printer control panel, go to:
Settings > Printer Maintenance > Print Quality Report
  • Check if cyan is missing or faded in the color blocks.

2. Printhead Cleaning (Automated)

  • On the printer touchscreen, go to:
Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead
  • Perform Level 1 cleaning. If the issue persists, repeat once or proceed to Level 2.

3. Manually Check for Clogs

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the cyan cartridge and check the printhead for dried ink or blockages.
  • Do not touch the copper electrical contacts or nozzles.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
