HP DeskJet 2722 All-in-One Printer

Hello, I have just purchased a USED deskjet 2722, my problem is that the ink that is in there was part of the previous owners instant ink subscription, which they have cancelled( and removed this printer from their account )  so now does not work, I am trying to set up my own instant link subscription and it’s asking for my claim code, but obviously when I print it. It just prints a blank page ( as the cartridges have been disabled I guess) … what am I supposed to do here? PLEASE help me

Hi @Vancha,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since you've acquired a used printer and the previous owner had Instant Ink, it's important to disassociate the printer from the previous owner's account completely. Here are the general steps you should follow.

  1. Reset the Printer:

    • Power on the printer.
    • Open the cartridge access door.
    • Remove the cartridges.
    • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for about a minute.
    • Plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.
  2. Connect the Printer to Your Network:

    • Follow the instructions that came with the printer to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Print a Network Configuration Page:

    • This can usually be done from the printer's control panel.
    • Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on printing a network configuration page.

Remember, the claim code is typically associated with the printer's serial number, and if it's still linked to the previous owner's account, you won't be able to set up your Instant Ink subscription until this issue is resolved.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
