I have an older HP Deskjet D1455 ink jet printer, still meets my needs.  Installed a new OEM #21 black ink cartridge with a July 2022 expiration date.  Printer would not recognize the ink cartridge!  Printer utility gives red circle with horizontal bar for black ink cartridge and "cartridge has failed" text.  Reinstalled old 21 cartridge and printer recognized cartridge no problem.  Tried re-installing the new 21 cartridge but again not recognized by printer.  I think that I received a defective 21 cartridge, but how does one contact an actual human being at HP?  Has anyone else had problems with in-warranty OEM HP 21 black ink cartridges?

@dane1234abc, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
