HP DeskJet 3760 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP deskjet 3760 has stopped priting. The display on the printer shows that the color ink cartridge is empty and the orange LED flashes.

I doubt that the color ink cartridge is empty - I have printed maybe only 10 pages in color.

I have cleaned the electrical contacts on the cartridge and in the printer, but this didn't solve the problem. I removed the color ink cartridge completely, for this should activate single cartridge mode, but this didn't help. I also reset the printer by completely removing it from power source and waited 1 minute.

I can still use the copy function with white/black ink without problem.

I tried to check the settings in HP smart, but it requires a password, which is apparently not the same as the one I have for HP account, and I cannot see how I can reset it.

What can I do more?

If the printer can copy then it's working, you have a computer-driver issue.

I have removed the printer from my pc and installed:  HPEasyStart-13.6.5-DJ3700_40_16_12

it didn't help.

I have tried to run: DJ3700_2218A.exe

but it failed without giving any useful info.

The printer has started to make noise - like it tries to print, but cannot.

I still believe that the fact that the printer says that the color ink cartridge is empty has something to do with the problem.

(and I cannot believe that the color cartridge is empty after I have printed out only 10 pages)

I have replied to you with detailed info about which driver and firmware update I tried, but it was removed because it was recognized as spam!  Maybe it was because I have put the links to the driver and firmware. So here comes againg without links...

Now I have tried to print from my work pc. I have never used the printer from my work pc and when I added the printer in it, HP smart was installed automatically.

But I cannot print from this pc, either.

I have found out that I can print Diagnostic status report from HP smart without color ink cartridge. It should, because the printer should be able to print in single cartridge mode. But I still cannot print normal documents lilke pdf from my pc.

I have removed all hp drivers/softwares and the printer from control panel and clean installed the printer & driver/software, it still does not fix the issue. I have bought my printer february 2022 so I sill should have warranty but on the HP home page it says that Warranty is expired. I have created a case but I have not received an answer yet. And I cannot find any telephone number I can call to. What is going on?
