My printer is printing blank pages. I put in a new black ink cartridge but still having same problem. When I installed the new cartridge it printed a test page unlike what I usually see . The test page had a few small black squares and rectangles, a triangle with an exclamation point in it and a few curvy arrows. I ran a diagnostic test page and the colors printed but they were a bit muddled and the lines that printed were not solid dark lines but alternated dark and light lines. Does anyone know why this happened

- Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
- Does the copy print out the same way?
- What's the application you are trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable to your printer - update the drivers
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
