I've had this printer for several years. It just recently started printing blank pages. I logged into my HP Smart account and the printer is no longer showing as active. How do I get it re-added? I've verified that the ink is not out.

Hi @culpin,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like there are two separate issues:
Let's Fix the Blank Page Printing Issue First
Since you've confirmed the ink isn't empty, try these steps:
Check the Printhead Nozzles
- Print a Print Quality Report from your printer's settings.
- If the colors are faded or missing, clean the printheads using the HP Smart app or the printer menu.
Manually Clean the Printhead
- Remove the ink cartridges and gently clean the printhead contacts with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Let them dry before reinserting.
Use Genuine HP Ink
- If you’re using third-party or refilled cartridges, they might be clogged or incompatible.
Perform a Power Reset
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and restart.
Now Let's Reconnect the Printer to Your HP Account
Since the printer is missing from HP Smart, try these steps:
Re-add the Printer in HP Smart
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click Add Printer and select your DeskJet 2624 when it appears.
- Follow the on-screen steps to reconnect.
Reset the Printer’s Network Connection
If HP Smart doesn’t detect the printer:
- Press & hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on your printer for 5 seconds.
- The printer should enter Setup Mode (blinking blue light).
- Re-add it in the HP Smart app or on your Wi-Fi network.
