Product: HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer

I have just set up my new Deskjet printer with my MAC and it is working fine, printing out test sheets fine in colour BUT will not print anything else in colour - for example Word or Excel documents or pages from the internet. 

I have made sure I've updated the printer software and the OS system but it still won't work. 

Please can anyone help as this has taken me hours and I am no further forward.
