Replaced both color & black ink cartridges on F4180 printer. The black ink cartridge will not print. I have not had this problem before.  I've run diagnostics for alignment, cleaned cartridges, & run test pages. Nothing will print with the black ink.  Supply feature indicates the black cartridge is full as it should be since it's brand new.  Help please! My printer is in great shape even though it's 10 years old.

I was able to solve the problem after checking some YouTube videos.  I took the cartridge out of the printer and gently rubbed it across a sheet of paper.  It appears that the ink may have been clogged. Once the ink started to appear on the paper, I re-inserted the cartridge and did another test sheet. The black ink is finally printing!
