Dear all,
for a long time my printer worked without any problems. The toner cartridges are still original. All drivers are up to date (use via Windows 11). This week, for the first time in a while, I printed a page using only the black toner cartridge. This creates a kind of copy/double print on the lower half of the sheet (of the print on the upper half of the sheet). It seems as if some ink is left and this residue is then printed off.
This only happens when using the black toner cartridge alone. As soon as even a small part of the sheet is printed in color (e.g. also the test page), this error no longer occurs. So the problem is not related to the black toner cartridge alone, but also to the temperature at which the ink is applied to the sheet? When I change the settings for the paper used, there is hardly any difference.
I look forward to getting support here for this problem.
Best regards
Kevin

Hi Elohi_NR,
thanks for your tips! They help insofar, as I now know, that the listed aspects don't solve the problem. I think that there is an internal problem with the black toner cartridge. I will use it under the given circumstances and change it, when it is inevitable for printing.

I can't click on that button because it's not a real solution. My only current solution is to (1) print a very small colourful line (which uses colour toner cartridges) on every document + (2) print every document seperately. That's my temporary solution, because so the fuser unit prints black in an appropriate way. Also hints like shaking the black toner cartridge didn't help but maybe there are some more hints.
