Hi,
I understand that HP covertly included "Dynamic Security" during a firmware update which they later reseeded after threats of legal action from their customer base. This obviously affected a number of existing models which were in use and the retraction statement outlined those models. Clearly newer model printers where not included in this blunder and these are being advertised as including "Dynamic Security". This appears to be a strategy for ensuring that new unsuspecting customers, who are unaware of the implications of the "Dynamic Security" policy, signup to the overpriced Ink monopoly racketeering operation that HP are currently peddling. Although, within their original redaction statement they say the following ...
" HP believes in fair competition and does not employ technology preventing the use of refilled and remanufactured cartridges. "
... and if this statement is to believed then one would expect to find a way to disable "Dynamic Security" for these newer models. Would anyone here be able to direct me to the appropriate step-by-step process to remove this "Feature" for my new HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 Wireless All-in-One Printer please ?
Kind Regards,
Tim
