seems this question has been asked in the past, but how to I remove the dynamic security from my M404dn printer. Now I know why the toners are so expensive! they cost more than a new printer and HP should be ashamed. Is there any way to remove it??

Dynamic security is a part of the printer firmware, you can remove it by downgrading the printer firmware to a version without that feature.

How do I accomplish that? I tried going online to my printer and the option to turn off the automatic updates is not available. below is the image and it's state (required) next to Install updates Automatically.
