Honestly I’m posting this hoping HP hears me and to warn others. After realizing that HP Instant Ink was charging me $2/ month and since I print very little, I was getting nothing for that money, I called to cancel Instant Ink. It took awhile but finally it was cancelled
the VERY NEXT DAY suddenly my HP Envy 6052 won’t print and is showing an error of E-O which I google and it says is an error with the ink cartridge. The very same cartridge that is nearly full that I have been using for months with NO issues. Suddenly it’s unusable. I’ve tried reinstalling the cartridge and it will work just long enough to print the “PRINTER INFORMATION PAGE” twice, but then immediately shows the error code before I can print the document I actually need to print.
this is a joke.oh and btw HP says I have no phone support since the printer is a year old 😂😂😂
i feel like I either go buy a new cartridge despite the fact this one had tons of ink left…and then I bet money the printer still doesn’t work. OR I have an expensive piece of ***bleep*** that doesn’t work.
i cannot believe that literally the day after I realized HP was charging me monthly and I got out of that program, my printer conveniently stops working because of ink cartridge “issues”

Yes, it is true:
- Ink is supplied only as part of an active Instant Ink Print-by-Page subscription.
- All Instant Ink cartridges remain the property of HP.
- After the contract is terminated, it is true that Instant Ink cartridges stop working and cannot be used in any printer.
- The lock is implemented whether the Instant Ink cartridges are new , full , empty , or partly used.
- Yes, all Instant Ink cartridges must be removed from the printer - these should be returned to HP.
- Purchase and install a fresh set of HP ink cartridges.
