Here are additional steps you can try to resolve the cartridge communication error on your printer:
1. Check Cartridge Installation
- Remove the cartridges and reinstall them to ensure they are seated correctly.
2. Clean the Contacts
- Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab to gently clean the copper contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.
3. Reset the Printer
- Perform a hard reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
4. Update Firmware
- Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer using the HP Smart app or printer control panel.
5. Try Different Cartridges
- If possible, test with a new or known working cartridge to see if the error persists.
6. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Ensure there are no paper jams or other obstructions inside the printer that could affect cartridge communication.
