Envy 5660 stopped printing black ink. Unit is about 10 years old.

My Envy 5660 has stopped printing black and only a faint bluish color.  It's about 10 years old.  Worked well until this past week.  I changed black ink cartridges twice-both were new. I do not print daily.  Would appreciate help in fixing this problem as I can't afford to buy a new printer at this time.   Thank you.

I understand the printer is not printing in black. It's great to know that you are using this printer for 10 years now. 

Kindly try the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Clean the ink cartridge up to 2 times and print a test page to check the result. You may remove the color ink cartridge while the cleaning process.

If you have used 2 different new black ink cartridges and the issue persists, I'm afraid the printer has gone bad.

You may still try printing using only the color ink cartridge.

I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
