Hi @ZZAT, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Alignment failure.
An alignment failure on your HP Envy 6000 printer after replacing an ink cartridge usually occurs due to one of the following reasons:
- The alignment page was not scanned properly.
- Ink cartridges are not seated correctly.
- Low ink levels or poor print quality affecting the alignment.
- Printer firmware or software issues.
Steps to Fix the Alignment Issue
Restart and Reattempt Alignment
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for 2-3 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Load plain white A4 paper into the input tray.
- Try manually aligning the cartridges:
- Open the HP Smart app on your PC or phone.
- Go to Printer Settings > Print Quality Tools > Align Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Ensure the Alignment Page is Scanned Correctly
- Once the printer prints the alignment page, lift the scanner lid.
- Place the page face down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the indicated corner.
- Close the lid and press the Start Copy (Black/Color) button to scan the alignment page.
Check Cartridge Installation
- Open the cartridge access door and remove both cartridges.
- Reinsert them firmly until they click into place.
- Close the access door and restart the printer.
Clean the Printhead
If alignment still fails, clean the printhead:
- Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant.
- Navigate to Print Quality Tools > Clean Printhead.
- Print a test page to check if the issue improves.
