After spending weeks posting and long hours scanning internet and long hours on the phone, I was finally able to set up my new Envy 7855 without the set up cartridges, with the help of HP Support and Escalation Dept Case Manager, Sean. The 3rd Party Seller, of the brand new in the box printer, could not help me though, I told him the new cartridges in the box were the WRONG NUMBERS! They only sell the boxed printers and knew nothing about the cartridges, whether right or wrong.
I was getting prepared to box the thing back up and send it back when I was finally provided phone tech help by HP. My printer is up and running now.
Several days after that happened, the Seller wrote and said they acquired the "right number" Set Up cartridges and would send them to me. So they did.
I don't need them now. They are new and unopened, I will give them away, but don't want to pay for the shipping..
I will pay the shipping up front, and trust that whoever gets them, will reimburse me. HP says to not sell or re-sell the cartridges, but nothing about giving them away for free. Why waste them?
Merry Christmas!
