HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

When I print a settings page direct from the printer it prints fine but when I print from my PC, the test page comes out blank.  Any document I print prints terrible quality.    If I print a test page from the settings page it is fully blank.  I've removed the printer from the PC, restarted the pc and then reinstalled the printer, downloading new printer drivers.   I have HP ink cartridges in the printer.  I have the same issue that a test page prints blank and anything I try printing is terrible quality.  This printer is less than 1 year old.   Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi @mv56128,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-HP ink cartridges can cause print quality problems.
  • Check the ink levels and replace any empty or low ink cartridges.
  • Ensure the ink cartridges are correctly installed.

2. Clean Printheads

Cleaning the printheads can help to improve print quality. Follow these steps to clean the printheads from your printer:

  1. On the printer control panel, navigate to the settings or maintenance menu.
  2. Select the option to clean the printheads.

3. Align Printheads

Aligning the printheads can resolve issues with print quality. Here is how to align the printheads:

  1. On the printer control panel, go to the settings or maintenance menu.
  2. Select the option to align the printheads.

4. Check Printer Driver Settings

Make sure the printer driver settings match the paper type and print quality you desire.

  1. On your PC, open your printer software.
  2. Check the paper settings and ensure they match the type of paper you are using.
  3. Ensure the print quality is set to the desired level (e.g., Best or Normal).

5. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Since you've already reinstalled the printer, ensure that you have the latest printer drivers:

  1. Visit the HP Support page for Envy Inspire 7200.
  2. Download and install the latest printer drivers for your operating system.

6. Test Printing from Different Application

Try printing a test page or document from a different application to see if the issue persists. If the problem is isolated to a specific application, the issue may lie within that application.

7. Print Quality Diagnostic Report

Printing a Print Quality Diagnostic Report can help identify specific issues:

  1. From the printer's control panel, navigate to the Print Quality Diagnostic option.
  2. Print the diagnostic report and review it for any print quality issues.

I hope this helps.
