Got an E0 error after installing the new cartridges. The setup cartridges have been already disposed. How to reset my printer so that it will accept the new cartridges?

Hi @bchekomasov,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

An E0 error on an HP printer typically indicates an issue with the cartridges. If you're encountering this error after installing new cartridges, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve it:

Reinstall Cartridges: Turn off the printer and then reinstall the new cartridges. Ensure that they are properly seated in their respective slots and that the cartridge access door is securely closed.

Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to clear any temporary errors. To do this, turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then, plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Clean Cartridge Contacts: If the error persists, there may be dirt or debris on the cartridge contacts. Turn off the printer and remove the cartridges. Use a clean, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the contacts on both the cartridges and inside the cartridge slots in the printer. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges.

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check the HP website for any firmware updates available for your printer model and follow the instructions to update it if necessary. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with new cartridges.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
