Officejet Pro 8600

I have an Officejet Pro 8600.  I replaced the running out of ink with new HP ink cartridges.  Then the warning came up that the magenta was low in ink, but it is not.  I cleaned off the incision point, which was not reallly dirty at all.  I installed new drivers, turned on/off everything.  Called Apple Support to make sure my imac was working and connected correctly.  ONE THING HP SHOULD KNOW>>>>> I called HP support from this website and they came on my computer sharing and said my printer was 'fine'.  I needed to buy their Home and Whatever Service for $199/year and then they would reset my printer for me.  Is this some sort of new scam? or an HP way to make money? Apple Support helped me get there screen share package off my computer.

So, I started anew, my iMac all good and in perfect order as before.  I get the message: "there is an ink system or cartridge faillure. contact HP." So, I'm out of warrantee; just bought $250 of LX150 and 151 ink at Sam's and I really would like to get some help.  I use the printer sparingly, but for a non-profit I run, and people really need the info I print off for them, many with no printers or technology.

Your help will be deeply appreciated.  Please feel free to email me at [Personal Information Removed]
