Hello, I have tried all the tips and I am still getting the error. They are brand new cartridges. Could they be defective? Thank you!

Are they HP Brand ink? HP Printers only work with cartridges fitted with the HP chipset

No luck - nothing. they are HP cartridges from Amazon like I always buy. They have never been used.
