Hi @TM1987,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Error code 11 on an HP MFP M180n printer typically indicates a paper jam. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open all doors and trays to inspect for any paper jams.
- Carefully remove any jammed paper. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for removing paper jams.
Inspect Paper Path:
- Ensure that there are no obstructions in the paper path. Look for any torn pieces of paper, staples, or other foreign objects that may be causing the jam.
Check Sensors:
- Many printers have sensors that detect the presence of paper. Make sure these sensors are not blocked or damaged.
Reload Paper:
- If the paper was improperly loaded, reload it following the printer's guidelines. Make sure the paper is aligned and not wrinkled.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This may clear the error.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve certain issues.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- If the issue persists, there may be a hardware problem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
