After installing my color ink cartridge, I get an error message that it is not accepting the new one. That the sensor is not reading it. I have updated my firmware and still issues. I purchased from Sams club but can't take just one ink cartridge back.

@Mizzousharon, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you're facing issues with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer not accepting a new color ink cartridge, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the ink cartridge is compatible with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer. Sometimes, using a cartridge not supported by the printer can lead to error messages. Refer to your user manual or visit the HP website to confirm compatibility.
Reinstall the Ink Cartridge: Carefully remove the color ink cartridge and reinsert it properly. Make sure it's securely placed in the correct slot and clicks into place when installed.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts: Use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridge and the corresponding printer contacts. Dirt or residue can interfere with sensor readings.
Reset the Printer: Occasionally, resetting the printer can resolve sensor reading errors. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in and power on.
Use HP Genuine Cartridges: Ensure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges, as third-party cartridges might not be recognized by the printer.
I hope this helps.

G, I did all of these things prior to writing the post.. So now I have reached to HP Warranty and when I pull up the link for hp's learn about supplies , It comes up in Russian. So all in all, I am at a loss and stuck with a $50 color ink that does not work.

Hey @Mizzousharon,
Thank you for your response
About the HP page showing up in Russian: you can change the language by scrolling to the bottom of the page and looking for a region or country selector. Click on it, and you should be able to switch it back to your preferred language and region
I hope this helps.

Hey @Mizzousharon,
Thank you for your response
I understand the frustration — especially since the ink is still under warranty. Since you purchased the 2-pack from Sam's Club, I suggest first contacting their support. They may be able to assist you.
If the issue persists, let me know — I’ll be happy to assist further.
