Ran out of ink, replaced both color & Black cartage. Software indicated Black OK no color. Replaced color with new cartage still no ink indicated. Called HP & got new cartage, still no good. Plus unable to print test page of document (Black) document In all three cases could not print test or document. Yet everything was normal except for the indication of no color ink.
Pleas advise problem or suggestion I need to do!

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the color cartridge not being recognized in your HP Envy 4501 printer. Be sure to clean the contacts on the cartridge and in the printer as shown in Step 3.
