I have been fighting with my printer for days now. I will send a job from my computer to be printed, which will sit in the queue. Even when you try to make a copy, it will scan the copy and then just sit in the queue. I have done all the troubleshooting that HP requested, and nothing will print. So, it will not print from hardwired, wireless, or internally. I have had no issues with this printer until last week.

Hi @LacyKissinger,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with a printer that's stuck in queue and not printing, despite trying various troubleshooting steps. Here are some additional steps and considerations you can take to try and resolve the issue:
1. Restart Printer and Devices
Power Cycle: Turn off your printer, unplug it from power for about 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Restart Computer: Restart your computer or any device you're trying to print from. Sometimes, restarting devices can clear up communication issues.
2. Clear Print Queue
- Cancel Pending Jobs:
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers (Windows) or Printers & Scanners (Mac).
- Find your printer, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) on it, and select "See what's printing" or "Open print queue".
- Cancel all pending print jobs.
- Restart Print Spooler:
- On Windows: Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Scroll down to find "Print Spooler". Right-click on it and select "Restart".
- On macOS: Open Finder, go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal. Type sudo killall -HUP cupsd and press Enter to restart the print spooler.
3. Check Printer Status and Connectivity
Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network (for wireless) or directly to your computer (for wired).
Wireless Network: Verify that your wireless network is stable and that the printer has a strong signal.
4. Update Printer Drivers and Firmware
Update Drivers: Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest printer drivers for your operating system.
Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Install updates as per the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Check for Errors or Messages
Printer Display: Check the printer's display panel for any error messages or prompts that might indicate a specific issue.
Printer Management Software: Use HP Smart app or similar software to check printer status, ink levels, and any diagnostic tools available.
6. Reset Printer
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on your printer. This will reset all settings to default.
- Note: Refer to your printer's manual or HP support for instructions on how to perform a factory reset, as the process varies by model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
