My plan is sending me too much ink. I now have two extra boxes of cartridges sitting unused. I have downgraded my plan (as of this message) but do not want to be charged for additional pages while I use up the two boxes of cartridges.  Please help me adjust my account so I can actually use the ink I already have instead of being sent more!

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

Instant Ink plans do not measure the amount of ink you use, only the number of pages you print.

 

Instant Ink is a print-by-page subscription.

You are paying per page and never for how much ink you use.

 

Downgrading the plan will further limit the number of pages you are allotted during each month.

 

True -- The service should not have sent too much ink.

 

The way it is supposed to work --

Ink is (only) sent when the printer notifies the service that ink supplies are depleted and a shipment is needed.
