My printer is not printing documents correctly. HP support was unable to fix the problem. I was going to purchase a new HP printer but I have unused, unopened printer cartridges that will not fit in the new HP printer I was going to purchase. I purchased the cartridges from Amazon.
The sales team person told me that HP will only exchange cartridges purchased from HP. I have been using HP printers many, many, many years. I currently own four of them...two in my small businesses, one at work and one at home.
So...HP expects me to throw out the four cartridges. Total cost around $150. This is beyond my comprehension...HP will not protect my purchase of cartridges (I always have a spare cartridge on hand for every one of my four printers...total investment is probably $450.) At no time have I ever read that HP will only exchange cartridges purchased from HP.
So, HP just lost a lifetime customer, my new printer will be from another company...and until the other three printers die, I'll be buying knock off cartridges from now on.
And, please HP don't tell me to use the instant ink option...

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
You must be mistaken. You can exchange unopened, in warranty inks as long as your new Printer is bought from HP.
