I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500. I do not have any equipment issues, but I do have a Expired 940XL (Black) ink cartridges that are full. I did not pay attention to the expiration date when I purchased the cartridges and now they're expired and the equipment won't let me use them. Is there a way to bypass the ink expiration date, so that I can use these cartridges? Thanks in advance for your help.

@Michele27, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
What is the error you get?
The printer does not stop you from using an expired ink cartridge. It depends on the ink cartridge. If it is in wokring condition, then you will be able to use it. Else you may have to replace it.
For now, perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve ink cartridges related errors - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The end of warranty date will be mentioned on the ink cartridge. Kindly check the same. For more info, click here. If you are not able to use the ink cartridge due to this error, you will have to buy a new one.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
