I purchased this hp2700 printer a while and I barely use it  subscribed to hp's ink service which I don't use often but today for some reason when I printed something the print came out all faded and barely visible, I tried many options to fix this and the prints were still barely visible and faded. Does any who know how to fix this or should i trashed the printer and unsubscribed to my ink service?

Hi @Y2Jay,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to address faded prints on your HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer series. Here are some suggestions:

Check Ink Levels: Make sure that your ink cartridges have sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer software or on the printer control panel. If any of the cartridges are low, replace them.

Run Print Quality Diagnostic: Most printers, including HP printers, have a print quality diagnostic tool. Use this tool to check and potentially fix print quality issues. You can usually find this in the printer software on your computer.

Clean Print Heads: If your printer has an option to clean the print heads, use it. This can help remove any dried ink and improve print quality. Refer to your printer's manual or online documentation for instructions on how to clean the print heads.

Align the Print Heads: Print head misalignment can lead to poor print quality. Many printers have an alignment tool in the software that allows you to align the print heads. Run this tool to ensure proper alignment.

Check Paper Quality: Ensure you are using the correct type and size of paper for your printer. Using the wrong paper may result in poor print quality. Also, check if the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.

Update Printer Firmware/Software: Check if there are any firmware or software updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.

Print a Test Page: Print a test page directly from the printer without involving your computer. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the communication between the computer and the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
