Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new cartridge with a date of 2021/12/06. Error message that the cartridge must be replaced. How do I go about getting a replacement, I don't want to toss a new $44 cartridge into the trash and pay for another one. HP web site has alot of troubleshooting ideas but no way to make a direct email contact. Just want a replacement cartridge. Who or how can this be done?

I solved the problem by taking the printer and dropping it in the garbage can. No more hoops to jump through to get a solution. Bought an Epson.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

It's not a printer problem because we tried the faulty tri-color in the wife's printer and mine. Same results, same message. We both use the 61 style cartridge. It's just a bad 61XL tri-color cartridge. Just want the cartridge replaced, that's all.
